My art teacher in high school (love her) told me she felt that a sharpie marker was "the least artistic tool an artist can use," so of course I had to try to prove she was wrong. This art is a reflection of different aspects of my life, like being a gay man in his 30s, an American-mutt, a star watcher, a gardener. Or things I hear from interesting people, like "Exceptional people shouldn't be called stars. There are more stars in our one galaxy than grains of sand on earth.  Exceptional stars should be called people." Or something beautiful, strange or horrific...  the darker side of life is as powerful and beautiful as the easy going...
